La Escuelita • Upper West Side

La Escuelita was founded in 2002 by two parents, both professional educators, who wanted bilingual play and preschool experiences for their children.  This unique vibrant and diverse school on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, combines an excellent education with bilingual instruction both in Spanish and English.  Children 2 to 5 years old can attend. The after school program exposes the K-3 grade students to Spanish and the teachers are bilingual.  Fencing, chess and cooking are just some after school activities.

I was very happy to be invited to La Escuelita and have such a warm reception to my story books. The event was held in their gym and was totally conducted in Spanish.
